My First Workshop

.
Finally, I was to teach a workshop of my bead covered hoop pendant design, using right angle weave.

I have some variations of this design, which has so much potential:

It was a great fun. I enjoyed teaching. And althoght the project wasn't finished in class, I think the participants also enjoyed discovering the potential of this design.

A dear talented friend helped me improve my photos. I especially love this one: a curious cat is checking my necklace:

busy for a while

.

I have been busy for a while. I made many items for a fundraising collecting money for cancer patients. But I was disappointed to discover that the organizers under priced my items and sold them in very low prices. The lucky buyers got a wonderful bargain and many items were sold. My shop looks a bit empty now. Here are some items that I made recently.

This bracelet is made with RAW technique for the Etsy Beadweavers December Challenge:

The Best Giveaway Ever!

.

Three little meerkats from NiftyKnits have been travelling around the world, staying with friends from Etsy's ETTEAM and collecting souvenirs along the journey.

One of the destinations of little meerkat Treasure was our home, in which he'd celebrated Hanukkah with us, got a tour in old Jerusalem and visited a sci-fi convention.

Treasure and his brother Alchemy had gatherd many gifts in his journey and it is now time to give them away!

The souvenirs are just amazing (total prize package is now vouchers to spend in five separate shops, an ipod cosy, a quilted mat, a silver shoe pendant on 18" chain, a felt lady, earrings, four Art cards, an embroidered ring, a mini-fascinator, a luggage tag, a horsehair cellphone charm, a papier mache house and badge, a trinket dish and of course Alchemy herself) and worth at least $175 not including the discount vouchers - which will push the total value way higher!

You can visit the ETTEAM blog for more details and for particpation.

Spring Swap

.

My online team - ETSY BEADWEAVERS TEAM - had organazided a friendly swap between the members.

It is always nice to get gifts, especially from talented artists as the EBW memebers. This was also an opportunity to see closely other techniques of beading.

My gift was from Ellen of Glimmerstone.

She made me this bead embroidered purple bracelet. This is a perfect gift for me because I don't do bead embroidery. I have unfinished embroidered pendant waiting for me over a year now. And I also love the deep purple colors.

Isn't the bracelet gorgeous?

Want to see the beautiful pieces swaped? check Christina Wilson's blog for a picture of all the participating artists.
